| | Replies are going to a different address. When my son sends me an email he uses his regulare email address. However when I go to reply to the msg, another email address comes up and my son does not know where this address came from. What can I do. (What I do now is just change the address to the right one, but I would like to get rid of the address that is in error. My son has gone into his "replies section and hit the "Dont Forward" button. but nothing happened Any ideas? -- DougBoy |

| | Re: Replies are going to a different address. I presume you are using WLMail as your email client program. There is nothing more that YOU can do. You should continue to correct the email address, every time you reply to your son's emails. Next time you open one of your son's emails, click on File / Properties / Details / Message Source. Then, scroll down through the headers to the section where you will find the following lines: From: ["Your son's name" <son@xxxxxx>] To: ["Your Name" <yourname@xxxxxx_email_address>] Subject: [Title] Is there an additional "Reply-To:" line? If so, that is where any replies will go (automatically). I suspect that an incorrect "Reply-To:" address" is being added to your son's outgoing emails. If so, the problem will affect every message that he sends. I don't know whether your son is using a web browser to send emails (via a webmail interface, such as Hotmail). If so, he should use his browser to sign into his mail account - and remove the incorrect "Reply-To:" address from the account configuration. On the other hand, he might be using an email client (such as Outlook, Outlook Express, Windows Mail, or Windows Live Mail, etc). If so, he should check the way the email account has been configured on his local computer - and remove any incorrect "Reply-To:" address. | | Re: Replies are going to a different address. Which email program is your son using? He needs to look at the "Reply address" field of the properties of that account. Also, you can verify where the problem is by pressing Ctrl+F3 while his message is selected. That will show the "From" and "Reply-To" headers. -- Gary VanderMolen, MS-MVP (Mail) "Doug" <Doug@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:BB2DF415-BF5C-4AD6-8446-784B931B95CA@xxxxxx Quote: > When my son sends me an email he uses his regulare email address.
