Windows Live Birthday Calendar

I have several birthdays showing on my Birthday Calendar that I am not able
to delete. Currently I do not have ANY contacts. If there are no contact
records where are the birthday entries coming from?

I tried creating contacts with the same names as those on the Birthday
Calendar but that did not allow me to change or delete the "phantom" entires
on the Birthday Calendar.

Currently I do not have any contacts, nor do I have any calendar entries.
Other than email the account is empty.

How do I reset, clear, delete or otherwise fix the Birthday calendar issue?

Re: Windows Live Birthday Calendar

Do you sync your phone with your PC? Do you have any entries in your windows
contacts list or on messenger?
I'm not sure why you'd get these entries on your calendar and why you cannot
delete them. Have you tried deleting them at the source
(calendar.live.com)?
The other alternative is to hide this calendar in WLM (click the dropdown
and choose hide) and you can always create another Birthday calendar.

Re: Windows Live Birthday Calendar

Did you have contacts with those birthdays at some time in the past?

Someone from MSFT said that the calendar synching would be down for a couple
of weeks.
I entered a birthday on 26 Mar and it never showed up.

Re: Windows Live Birthday Calendar

Your birthday calendar is designed to kept in sync with your contacts list
(stored on contacts.live.com). Dave is right that updates aren't happening
right now due to server load problems. We are working to fix this.

Until the server update is released, you can only hide the calendar (you
can't delete the events or calendar).

RE: Windows Live Birthday Calendar

I am having the same issue. I emailed Microsoft Support about this a couple
months ago and they said they were looking into the issue. Still no change
though. Lucky I only have one contact that is duplicated. Annoying still. I
have gone onto the contacts online and deleted any association to that
contact anywhere I could find, but it only deletes one of them off the
calendar. ???
