| | WLM downloading 1000's of messages from live. com that are bogus A couple of weeks ago, about the time pop3 was rolled out to free accounts, my WLM started acting up. I have a paid Windows Live Hotmail Account. When Windows Live Mail Syncs with Hotmail, it says it's downloading messages. After a couple of minutes, the download message count is in the 1000's but there is now new mail received. If I click stop, any new mail is received. At the next sync, this occurs again. See captures below. http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3345/...038ba48d_o.jpg http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3363/...38e72036_o.jpg Following is a capture of the error message being received but it gives me nothing that helps the issue. Server Error: 0x800CCC90 http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3558/...6ee2c803_o.jpg Any thoughts would be great. I also sync my Yahoo! Mail Plus account to WLM and it works fine. Problem is a Hotmail issue. I paid for an account which is basically useless and am getting rather frustrated with it. Also, from the Hotmail web client, the MSN Photo Upload Tool does not work. I will save that for a different day. If this first issue doesn't get fixed, the Upload Tool will be irrelevant as I will go back to Yahoo! Mail. |

| | Re: WLM downloading 1000's of messages from live. com that are bogus Something like this happened to me in early 2008 when I first got WLM. Turns out it was downloading years of previously deleted messages. Are you actually getting messages downloaded? With a paid account you have a number of support options that ordinary free accounts do not get. Take advantage of them. Have you tried letting the message download run to completion? That is what I had to do. | | Re: WLM downloading 1000's of messages from live. com that are bogus Logon to mail.live.com How many messages are present in the Inbox. Was pop3 in use on that account in another email client that left messages on the server ? -- ...winston ms-mvp mail "LandonAB" <LandonAB@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:0728598D-149D-45A8-AA7E-E0FA731787F0@xxxxxx Quote: > A couple of weeks ago, about the time pop3 was rolled out to free accounts, > my WLM started acting up.
