If this is a POP account, make sure both the laptop and desktop are
configured to leave a copy of all messages on the server:
Go to Tools, Accounts, select your mail account, Properties, Advanced,
select "Leave a copy of messages on server."

    Re: Not receiving some emails

I just started having the same problem with 7 emails not being sent over to
WLM by my server, who is very puzzled! Thank goodness, I've left copies on
my server (POP3) who then sent 583 copies over to WLM today, but still did
not include the 7 that were not sent originally! So I read them there, but
that's not a great solution! The new download presents many new problems,
    including spellcheck.

Adding your post to a thread that was last posted to 13 days ago, generally
does not help get a solution.
What email program where you using before WLM?
Will the old program download the 7 messages?
    Have you checked blocked senders?
How many different people do the 7 emails represent?

    Re: Not receiving some emails

    Thanks for the posting info.
The problem started suddenly a couple of days ago, and as far as I'm aware,
the missing mail (which is sitting in my comcast.net inbox) is from only 2
people, my daughter and son! Comcast tried to solve the problem by sending
about 586 in one download; imagine having to deal with that! But those 7
letters still did not arrive in my WLM! I finally opened them in my server's
site. I am receiving their current mail with no problem.

    Re: Not receiving some emails

I don't have any ideas why the emails won't download.
I don't understand what you meant, sending 586 in one download.
Are you saying that they sent you a file that contained the 586 emails? If
yes, then I would say that the problem was on their end.
