After a certain time - an unused account is deleted if you do not login. If
you have several accounts and use Windows Live to automatically login and
check for mails, without using the browser or messenger, will the account
still be deleted?

As long as you use to WLM or any other suitable mail client to regularly
check mail on the account, you are fine.
The automatic deletion is for abandoned accounts. Ones that someone has
set up and stopped using at all.

To add..
A Windows Live email address is a Windows Live Hotmail account(hotmail.com, live.com, msn.com)
Free accounts, unlike subscription account(Hotmail Plus, Msn Premium) expire due to inactivity(not signing in via the web interface
or an email client or Messenger) after 270 days or by not signing in within 10 days of account creation.
An account can also be deleted/closed manually by accessing your account at account.live.com
- One can add or delete Windows Live Hotmail accounts a maximum of 25 times every 30 days.
Closing an email account is different than closing/deleting a Windows Live ID. The former must be done first.
