Is there a way to delete an incompleted post in this board?

Re: Deleting a post

Edit - Delete or you can Customize toolbar to show it. Do you mean you hit send before you were ready? You can only delete your own posts.

Re: Deleting a post

Gary, I clicked "enter" intending to start a new line, and instead it posted
my question, or at least part of what I wanted to ask. I posted a 2nd
thread, but would like to have figured out how to delete the mistake.
-- Mike, I attempted to figure out your suggestion; it doesn't seem
applicable in my window. Perhaps someone can explain further. Thanks, guys

Re: Deleting a post

In general if the news server honors message cancellation(not all do)

Select the message in the newsgroup, click Actions(on the WLM menu), scroll and click Cancel message.

The above(if cancelled)does not remove messages previously viewed/downloaded.

winston suggests..."Select the message in the newsgroup, click Actions(on the

Where on the window of this Discussions group, do I find Actions? I've
tried the Task Bar; no luck. What am I missing?

Re: Deleting a post

You'll find Action on Menu Bar, at the top.
PS. Cancel Message button works only if the message is yours.

Re: Deleting a post

My Menu Bar on this Discussions Window does not contain ACTIONS, only file,
edit, views, favorites and help. MY WLM Window contains Actions on the Menu
Bar but that doesn't help in Discussion Groups! Any way I can select it on
this window?

Re: Deleting a post

To perform a cancellation request, one must use a capable nttp news client to access the messages(e.g. Windows Live Mail, Forte
Agent, other older Msft clients are Outlook Express and Vista Windows Mail).

The option to cancel is not available when accessing this newsgroup via the web interface.
- you don't have this option since you are accessing this group via your browser and reading/posting in the web interface.

You actually hit Ctrl-Enter. Enter is fine for starting a new line
or a new paragraph. Ctrl-Enter and Alt-S unfortunately do
immediate sends (depending on your Send option)

If you had had Work Offline set while you were doing your composing
or if you didn't have Send immediately as an option, you could have
deleted the post from the Outbox (or continued editing it there.)
