| | Windows Live Mail has stopped working - when trying to send a mess Recently I've had this problem quite a few times when trying to send a message from Hotmail in my WLM. The error message appears as soon as I hit Send and then WLM closes down, losing my message completely (can't find it in Drafts, Outbox, Sent Items). (NB WLM is not set up to Send/Receive immediately, so the message should go into my Outbox). So this is REALLY annoying. I have AVG Free (latest version, 8.5) anti virus installed, nothing new here, has worked fine for months. I think this is only happening when I send emails with photos attached. But I've done this loads of times before with no problems. And the problem is intermittent. I read somewhere that I should look in Event Viewer, so I did that and find the error is logged as an Application Error, Event ID 1000, Task Category (100). But I don't understand the information given. Here's a copy of some of the info: "Faulting application wlmail.exe, version 14.0.8064.206, time stamp 0x498cf592, faulting module canvas.dll, version 14.0.8064.206, time stamp 0x498cf596, exception code 0xc0000005, fault offset 0x0001f667, process id 0x160c, application start time 0x01c9d32260301942." Can anyone help please? Thanks. |

| | Re: Windows Live Mail has stopped working - when trying to send a mess Something has basically got corrupted in WLM causing it to crash. Easiest solution is to uninstall/re-install.
