Disabling the sign in appears to have worked.
Thanks

I wouldn't expect the calendar to have anything to do with the issue.
The sign-in option (upper right hand corner of WLM or Tools, Options,
Connections) specifies a Live/Hotmail account to synch your calendar and
contacts with.
You can select the option to not sign in and see if it makes any
difference.
Your error is with a POP3 account. It's saying that you are trying to
connect to the POP3 account but someone already has that in process.
Are you manually doing a Synch as soon as WLM opens? Is WLM also set to
do this automatically when opening (Tools, Options, General, Send and
Receive at startup)? If so wait a couple of minutes after starting
before doing a manual synch.
Have you installed any applications that check for new messages on a
POP3 server? If so, that may be the cause of the conflict.
