Also, the Help index search for "keyboard shortcuts" misdirects to an e-mail question and Google search is no help either! I can't test this in WLM, but what if you open a new message window and then File | Save As and save it to the Desktop. You can drag the resulting icon onto the Taskbar and when you want to create a new message, just click on that. I do that with OE.
