Adding a contact when contacts are viewed last name first

XP SP3 WLMail 14.0.8064.0206
I only have pop accounts and do not sign in.
I have the contacts View, Show the last name first.
I receive an email from someone who is not in Contacts. Example, Tom
Johnson
When I clicked Add contact in an email, the add contact window had first
name, Johnson, last name, Tom.
I tried with another address and the same thing happened.
If I change to Show the first name first, the names are in the correct
places.

I also noticed that a comma is not placed after the last name when the View
is last name first.
Are these bugs that should or already has been reported?

Re: Adding a contact when contacts are viewed last name first

Repeat the process with Show Last name first prior to adding the contact.

Once the contact is added
Click on Contacts.
View/List(you should have 2 panes- one with all contacts[left], one(right pane) with column headers(eg. Name, Personal email etc).
- is the contact entry in the correct order when viewing the Name field in the right pane

Select a contact entry under the name field
- Click on Summary, is the entry in the correct order adjacent to the 'Name: when viewing in Summary mode.

To show the variation...
Click a Contact to open the contact in its own window
- If Show Last names first was selected when the add contact was chosen, you should see the same results in your original post(
I.e. first name, Johnson; last name,Tom) and contrary to the above 'Name' field

I don't recall if this was reported or not.

Re: Adding a contact when contacts are viewed last name first

I used "Gary VanderMolen" <gary@xxxxxx>, because "...winston"
<winstonmvp@xxxxxx> only has one name.

No Gary VanderMolen Should be last name first.

No, all other contacts display the last name first.
Selected contact, Edit contact.
Next to the picture is Gary VanderMolen.
Next to name is Gary VanderMolen.

You have to click Contact in the Edit contact window to get the data entry
boxes displaying first name, VanderMolen: last name, Gary.

Some of the problem is that there is no comma after the last name when the
view is last name first.
Gary VanderMolen is displayed in the name column, Preview header, Preview
name, Edit contact window header, Edit contact summary.
With a name of Gary VanderMolen, you know which is first and last name.
With a name of Kevin James, you need to know if James is the first or last
name.

Re: Adding a contact when contacts are viewed last name first

Ron...
lol...I'm just pointing out the differences...that the Name field and the Summary shows the correct order unlike the First Name,
Last Name field.

Separately choosing view(last name first) may further explain why some reported that exporting a contact list to a *.csv file has
first and last reversed.

Re: Adding a contact when contacts are viewed last name first

If Gary VanderMolen is displayed in the Name and the Summary, all of the
rest of the contacts will display ie. Sommer Ron.
If I change to First name first, then I have VanderMolen Gary and Ron
Sommer.
Viewing a wab file that is Last name first shows Sommer, Ron.
