Spell Check Halted

I am running Windows Live Mail on Windows XP SP3. Recently, whenever I send
a mail a popup box announces "Windows Spell Check Halted - Do you want to
send anyway"

This is quite an annoyance.

I have searched and not been able to find a solution.

Any help would be appreciated.

This can not be the attended behavior, since it does not do this on all my
computers, nor is it consistent even on the machine where if does occur.

Re: Spell Check Halted

Tools, Options, Spelling, uncheck Check spelling before sending.
Check Check spelling as I type.

It is on mine

By unchecking as Ron says will stop it from happening

Re: Spell Check Halted

Since this was developed by Microsoft, do they ever intend to fix this?

Re: Spell Check Halted

Hi, Marlon.

They did fix it, in WLMail 2009, build 14.0.8064.0206, which most of us have
been using since it was released in February. Which build of WLM are you
using? You used the web-based interface, rather than WLM, we can't tell.

But it makes me wonder: Why do you use the browser to ask about the
newsreader application? Why not just click here:

Re: Spell Check Halted

I am running WLMail 2009 build 14.0.8064.0206 and am encountering this
problem--on three separate PCs.

When this error appears and I choose to *not* send the message, thereafter
pressing the spell check button (or selecting Tools > Spelling...) doesn't do
anything; it's as though the spell check feature becomes inactive altogether.
And when I go to actually send the message, the error appears again.

After proof-spelling the message myself. I end up choosing to 'send the
message anyway'...or else I manually pressing the Send button myself.

I haven't found a pattern to what causes it yet, but it happens enough to be
annoying.

Re: Spell Check Halted

If you highlight the body of your email then the spell check will check it.
You still may get the Halted message, but you know that it was checked and
you can force it to be sent.
