1. Your header indicates you are using web-based interface to post in this
newsgroup. If you have WLM, why aren't you using it ?
2. Microsoft does not own this newsgroup. This is a forum where people
VOLUNTEE to help one another. Meaning , if you want to get rid of WLM,
please go ahead.
3. You want to check for update : Start button > All Programs > scroll to
find Windows Update, click it.

Re: How do i update windows live mail on vista?

i was not aware that you could use WLM to post on this bored sorry if my
using a web-service is not to your liking then i apologize for this. i don't
want to uninstall it i like it but was just wondering why when i click on
updates within the program it dose not use the vista update system?. that is
all i wanted to know. if checking for updates in vista also checks for them
for this then I'm good with that.

Re: How do i update windows live mail on vista?

Hi, Hornet.

The latest version of Windows Live Mail - and all the rest of Windows Live
Essentials - is at:
http://download.live.com

The current version of WLMail is Windows Live Mail 2009 (build
14.0.8064.0206), released in February 2009.

As you probably know, Windows Mail is an integral part of Vista, just as
Outlook Express was an integral part of WinXP and prior versions of Windows.
But Windows Live Mail is a separate application which may be downloaded and
installed into Vista or WinXP or the Windows 7 beta.

As of now, Windows Live updates are not available on Windows Update - but
that may change soon. Say tuned. ;<)

Although this newsgroup can be accessed in a browser, it actually is a
Usenet newsgroup hosted on the Microsoft public news server. To use it in
your default news client (Windows Live Mail or Windows Mail - or Outlook
Express in WinXP), just click here:
news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsof...e.mail.desktop

You'll see the same messages either way. I like the newsreader interface
better, but the choice is yours.
