Vista - Google Toolbar disappears

I have followed every bit of advice in Internet Explorer 8 AND Google
discussion groups, and I finally got my Google Toolbar to appear again in
SOME Windows, but NOT in my MSN Home page! Views in IE8 has some ridiculous
advice to disable Google; Tools has a blurb on Managing Add-Ons. I opened
Windows Defender and added Google to Exceptions, did the same in AVG
anti-Virus program... and it's still unstable. Anyone got answers? I have
Vista SP2 and Internet Explorer8 (am I sorry I installed THAT!)

Not sure why you are asking this question in a newsgroup dedicated to the
Windows Live Mail email program.
I would not allow Google Toolbar on my desktop because I've heard
too many horror stories about incompatibilities.
If you don't like IE8, uninstall it, and IE7 will reappear:
