| | Re: Access WLM contacts Accessing one's Windows Live Contacts requires a logon to Windows Live. I.e. - one doesn't logon to WLM but to Windows Live In WLM 2009, version 14, the contacts are stored in a single database(contacts.edb) and only accessible in WLM and WLMsgr after a logon to Windows Live. Logon to Windows Live ensures that synchronization and commonality exists amongst WLM, WLMsgr, and the web interface(contacts.live.com). If you prefer to not logon to Windows Live when using WLM(Tools/Options/Connections/Stop Signing In) and have access to the same contacts two options are available. 1. Export your contacts to a Csv file, stop signing in(above), and import the csv file into WLM(no sign on will operate WLM in the default status) 2. Copy the Live ID's contact.edb file to the default account(no sign in to Windows Live) contacts folder replacing the existing contacts.edb file Note: both 1 and 2 are point in time, thus any changes made in the Live ID contacts would entail manual entry of the contacts in the default account or repeating the above process(and ensuring duplicates are not created). -- ...winston ms-mvp mail "Colorado Pete" <Colorado Pete@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:A5A85020-410E-4E0F-B3C2-329D691CD0B8@xxxxxx Quote: > Is it possible to access WL contacts (directory) without logging onto WLM? |
