| windows vista home premium | windows mail can't send emails but receives I am using windows mail through comcast.net . I can receive emails but cannot send them. Error number is 0x800CCOE If I sign on to comcast.net email I can send emails. |

The "forum" you posted your question in simply relayed your post to the Microsoft public Usenet news server, and relays responses back to you. So you THINK you are getting advice from members of that forum. But the forum managers are simply using advice given freely by readers on Usenet to generate ad revenue for the forum. :>( In this case, they relayed your question to the wrong Microsoft newsgroup. As Winston explained, THIS newsgroup (microsoft.public.windows.live.mail.desktop) is for peer-to-peer support for users of the Windows LIVE Mail program, which is NOT the same as Windows Mail. (Blame Microsoft, not us users, for the confusingly-similar names.) Luckily for you, Hal saw your post here; he usually hangs out in the Windows Mail group. If you'd like to "cut out the middleman" and connect directly to the Windows Mail newsgroup, just use one of the links in Winston's post. RC -- R. C.
