| | Installation "ROLLING BACK" I have been trying to install update of Windows Live, starting with "Windows Live Essentials" on an XP. The installation proceeds fine until it tells me it is 100% complete, then without warning (and without my touching anything) it immediately "rolls back" the entire installation counting backward from 100% to 0%. After this, a message appears stating "Programs were not installed because the installation was canceled. aborted: 0x80004004" However, my Windows Mail has completely disappeared. The older version (12) is no longer there. WL Messenger, Photo Callaery and Writer are still installed. I have tried to reinstall Windows Live Essentials several times, with the same result each time. Help! Erich. |

| vista ultimate 32bit,64bit,Seven Ultimate 64bit | Re: Installation "ROLLING BACK" look in your list of installed updates, and uninstall anything referencing windows live. then, either run windows update, or download from the windows live website. |
