| Guest | Can not change the subject line like outlook Hello, I like to change the subject line so that I can identify the email but am not able to do that. IS there a way to do this please? secondly, if I have attachments to the email and I like to remove few of them I can not do that. Even though in the draw down menu it shows remove but nothing happens when I click on it. thanks |

| Guest | Re: Can not change the subject line like outlook Or just click Forward, make the changes and save it in Drafts. Then drag to a folder of your choice. No need to mail it. -- Bruce Hagen MS-MVP [Mail] Imperial Beach, CA "t-4-2" <dhuang1@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:eycoP$P$JHA.1248@xxxxxx Quote: > To change text in the subject field : > Click on the e-mail > click Forward > make changes in the subject field > > mail it back to yourself. > To remove a few attachments from an e-mail : > ( same as above ) Forward > right click on those you don't want, click > Remove > mail it back to yourself. > t-4-2 > > > "solarwind" <solarwind@xxxxxx> wrote in message > news:31D7C5D3-63CD-48A8-BBC3-ECFF8315A416@xxxxxx Quote: >> Hello, >> I like to change the subject line so that I can identify the >> email but am not able to do that. >> >> IS there a way to do this please? >> >> secondly, if I have attachments to the email and I like to remove few of >> them I can not do that. | Guest | Re: Can not change the subject line like outlook You pay for Outlook. WLMail is free. | Guest | Re: Can not change the subject line like outlook WLM does not permit changing the subject...the only method was previously suggested in this thread(Forward or Forward/Save to Draft). Attachments must be detached(drag and drop or saved)..they can not be removed from the original email. -- ...winston ms-mvp mail "solarwind" <solarwind@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:31D7C5D3-63CD-48A8-BBC3-ECFF8315A416@xxxxxx Quote: > Hello, > I like to change the subject line so that I can identify the > email but am not able to do that. > > IS there a way to do this please? > > secondly, if I have attachments to the email and I like to remove few of > them I can not do that. | Guest | Re: Can not change the subject line like outlook Unfortunately, Windows Live Mail doesn't provide any means to edit or remove an attachment from a sent or received message. There is a workaround.: - Do a File, Save As to save the message to an *.EML file, or drag-and-drop the message to a Windows folder - Then edit the file in Notepad or other text editor. You can change any headers, message body, etc. You can also remove an attachment. For some information on the formatting of attachments, see http://pages.prodigy.net/michael_santovec/decode.htm - Save the file - You can drag-and-drop the message back to an WLM folder. Or you can double click the saved file from the Windows File Explorer. It will open in a mail window. You can then select File, Copy to folder. - You can then delete the original message. Once you get the hang of it, it's not very difficult. And unlike a forward, the sender and message date/time don't get altered unless you want to. -- Mike - http://pages.prodigy.net/michael_santovec/techhelp.htm "solarwind" <solarwind@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:31D7C5D3-63CD-48A8-BBC3-ECFF8315A416@xxxxxx Quote: > Hello, > I like to change the subject line so that I can identify > the > email but am not able to do that. > > IS there a way to do this please? > > secondly, if I have attachments to the email and I like to remove few > of > them I can not do that.
