Vista - Win Live Mail won't close out completly

I like to check mail for remote locations but can't because Win Live Mail is
still open on the task bar even after I exit WLM. If I right click on the
WLM icon on the task bar, it closes but have to do a restart to get back into
WLM due to a msmail dll error. Any suggestions? Thanks

Hi, PJB.

One of the most-reported bugs in WLMail, I'm afraid. The workaround is to
use Task Manager to End Process on wlmail.exe.

The usual cause seems to be "illegal characters" in the Saved and Blocked
Senders lists. This will probably be fixed in the next build, Wave 4, but
there has been no announcement of how soon that may appear.

There are many similar threads on this subject; see this one, started by
C.B. on 6/24/09: WLM won't open after having been closed. Also see the
followup thread, also started by C.B. on 6/25/09: For Peter.R---WLM still
fails to shut down when closed.
