Message & reply threads and spell check messages?

Use Windows Live mail and Vista Home Premium. My messages and replies are
threaded and I cannot find any information on removing the thread. Checked
WLM help and the menu help and no information. Checked synchronization and
no information so how do I set up or remove a thread on email messages and
replies? Also get message that the "Spell check on this document was halted.
Do you want to send anyway?" after I use spell check and the attempt to
send. Why do I receive this message even though spell check is tried many
times from different message locations before I send? All suggestions

Alt + V, uncheck Group messages by conversation.

Alt + T, Options, Spelling
If you are checking spelling as you type or manually checking spelling, then
uncheck Check spelling before sending.
