| | Calendar "jumps" a month on clicking save&close I admit this is one of the weirdest bugs i saw, when i add an event to the calendar part of mail, as i click save&close i can see it changes the date exactly one month ahead, and indeed the event is added a month from when i wanted to, this happens both if i click a certain date add option, or from the main toolbar, any ideas? |

| | Re: Calendar "jumps" a month on clicking save&close Thank you for your reply, Let me emphasize, the issue is only when an event is added locally on my PC, not when added via the Calendar portion of the live.com service. I just tried an offline adding of an event - that is without signing into live.com, and this is till happening, Tested both under Windows 7 and Vista. | | Re: Calendar "jumps" a month on clicking save&close SOLVED!!! Funniest bug and strangest solution, but here it is... If you customize your regional settings, by using the pattern dd-MMM-yy (one given by MS themselves) the date would jump a full month when clicking save&close in the calander portion of windows live mail. However, if you change the month to MM, that is dd-MM-yy it will be sorted and save correctly. Tested both under Vista and Win7. | | Re: Calendar "jumps" a month on clicking save&close Thanks for the feedback..glad to hear it was related to Time Zones setting. Though in Vista(U.S.) I don't have a dd-MM-yy setting..what I do have are M/d/yyyy (I use this one) M/d/yy MM/dd/yy MM/dd/yyyy yy/MM/dd yyyy-MM-dd dd-MMM-yy -- ...winston ms-mvp mail "Egor" <Egor@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:0077D3D3-E2D0-4EA1-A28A-F4822E0E7970@xxxxxx Quote: > SOLVED!!! > Funniest bug and strangest solution, but here it is... > > If you customize your regional settings, by using the pattern dd-MMM-yy (one > given by MS themselves) the date would jump a full month when clicking > save&close in the calander portion of windows live mail. > However, if you change the month to MM, that is dd-MM-yy it will be sorted > and save correctly. > Tested both under Vista and Win7. > > > "Egor" wrote: > Quote: >> Thank you for your reply, >> Let me emphasize, the issue is only when an event is added locally on my PC, >> not when added via the Calendar portion of the live.com service. >> I just tried an offline adding of an event - that is without signing into >> live.com, and this is till happening, Tested both under Windows 7 and Vista. >> >> "...winston" wrote: >> Quote: >> > First check all time zones in your account, profile and calendar. >> > Start at account.live.com >> > >> > -- >> > ...winston >> > ms-mvp mail >> > >> > "Egor" <Egor@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:8297767C-F5D3-4B54-8B28-D91AA9669BAB@xxxxxx >> > > I admit this is one of the weirdest bugs i saw, when i add an event to the >> > > calendar part of mail, as i click save&close i can see it changes the date >> > > exactly one month ahead, and indeed the event is added a month from when i >> > > wanted to, this happens both if i click a certain date add option, or from >> > > the main toolbar, any ideas? >> > > >> > > >> > |
