Attaching Photos

When I attach photos to an email, the photos appear in the body of the
message at the receivers end. Is there a way to attach photos to a normal
email message so that the photos do not appear in the body?

Thank you.

yes. instead of sending a photo email, send as attachment to regular email.

Re: Attaching Photos

The photos are not in the body but are being displayed below the body.
One way to know that the receiver will not have the pictures below the body
is to attach the photos in a zip file.

Thank you.

Sorry I didn't make myself clear. I was talking about a 'regular email'
message. The photos show up on the other end embedded in the body as well
as the attachments.

Hope I am clear this time.

I understand and thank you. I can only hope that all of the folks I send
them to will know how to unzip them .

That's pretty much up to the recipient. Most mail clients have an
option to display images attached to mail messages. One way to
prevent this is to zip the attached file first. I've never tried,
but you could perhaps just change the extension of the attached file
to 'txt'.

That's not correct. Most email clients by default will display photo attachments
immediately below the body text.

Re: Attaching Photos

If you send in plain text and they read in plain text..you can avoid the zip workaround.

Re: Attaching Photos

It doesn't matter if you send in plain text or html, if the recipient reads
in plain text, a picture attachment is not displayed.
One way to assure that a picture will not display below the message is to
zip the file(s).

Re: Attaching Photos

That's an option of the recipient's mail program. If the recipient
doesn't like that, they can change their program options.

You have no real control over that. other than to make the recipient
jump through hoops to see the pictures.
