| | English Spell Checker not working Hi, The English spell checker on Windows Live Mail does not work (Vista OS). Other languages are OK. When I highlight the English spell checker it does not provide an option to uninstall it either, other langauges do. Any ideas? Thanks for any help. |

Other languages are OK. When I highlight the English > spell checker it does not provide an option to uninstall it > either, other langauges do. Any ideas? default spell check language for all users and the necessary files are put in the program folder. All other optional languages are on a per-user basis, the files are stored in the user profile and the user can install/uninstall them at the Spelling tab in Options. Assuming that this is an English language version of WLMail 14.0.8064.0206, try this: * With WLMail closed, navigate to %programfiles%\Windows Live\Mail\Proof. If there's a folder in there called prf0009, move it somewhere else, like your desktop. * At Add or Remove Programs (or whatever the Vista equivalent is), find Windows Live Essentials and select Change/Remove. In the next window (which might take some time to appear), select Repair. When it's finished, check whether there is now a folder called prf0009 in the Proof folder. If so, start WLMail and try again. Check your spelling settings, too: if you have 'Check spelling in current input language' selected, your input language must be the one you want to spell-check in. Check at Regional settings > Languages in Control Panel. -- Noel |

Windows Mail has only 4 languages listed. You can change among those 4 the same way as mentioned above. P.S. Keep your cool. Restrain yourself from using Capital letters .
