Messages Duplicated in Sent Folder for IMAP Accounts Only (AOL/GMA

Any e-mail I send with either my AOL or GMAIL accounts shows up twice in the
sent folder; however, the receipients correctly only receive one copy. This
is only happening with my IMAP accounts. My POP3 Accounts work just fine.

Any idea what is causing this and how to correct the problem?

TIA.

You can go to Tools/Options click on the Send Tab. Uncheck the Save a copy
of the sent message in the Sent Folder and see if that works.

Re: Messages Duplicated in Sent Folder for IMAP Accounts Only (AOL/GMA

Thank you for the suggestion.

I considered that, the problem is that the "Save a Copy" is a global setting
and not Account specific, so if I uncheck it, it will negatively affect my
POP3 e-mail accounts that are working properly in that they are not
duplicating sent messages.

The issues is IMAP related, and I am sure Microsoft knows a solution,
although it seems that they have no interest in supporting their free mail
client. Hopefully, someone in the community will have encountered the same
problem and found the solution, and will share it here.
