Win98/SE

Tried putting Live Mail on my Win98/SE computer and got a message about a
missing DL.
The DL was not specified. Will Live Mail work on a Win98 system?

Re: Win98/SE

WLM will only run on Win XP, Vista and Windows 7.

For Win98, the only free Microsoft mail program is Outlook Express.

Re: Win98/SE

True, but Microsoft products are far superior.

I can think of no worse email and news clients than MS Outlook Express,
Windows Mail, or Windows Live Mail.

I can name many superior:

Opera 9.64 (browser suite includes a mail and news client).
SeaMonkey 1.1.17 (browser suite includes a mail and news client).
Mozilla Thunderbird
Forté Agent (paid version included mail and news).
Gravity (and Super Gravity) (primarily a news client).
Xnews (primarily a news client).
40tude Dialog (primarily a news client, but can be used for email).
Pegasus Mail (email only).
Eudora
The Bat!

Shall I continue?

Re: Win98/SE

Thanks to everyone who responded. I have two computers, one a 2004 Gateway
running XP/Home, I have had to replace on this computer the fan (which is
not carried by them, only one place on the Internet had it), the DVD/CD
drive (failed to open), twice the floppy drive (which I hardly ever use),
the Monitor (a CRT type that lasted only one year) and the Mouse whose
scroll feature when south. I also have a 1998 Compaq Presario running
WIN98/SE that nothing had to be replaced on and is my backup for when my
Gateway goes south.
