I have the latest build WLM desktop. I do not use Live.com.
Random contacts disappear after I email them. I can add that contact back
to the list and it will happen again.
This has become a real problem.

I just noticed half of my contacts are gone.
This is a new(2 weeks old) computer and I downloaded WLMD and imported from
OE6 with no problems.

My wife has complained about some of her contacts have been missing as well. There must be something wrong in this latest version...![]()
More info
- Live.com is the web interface, does this mean you don't use the Web interface(mail.live.com) ?
- Using a Live ID to sign on to Windows Live in WLM(this is different than setting up an email account)?
- contacts imported using a csv file ?

I'm actully Jenn, I do not know how i was able to post the first time without registering. But i'm registered now as Jenn2.
Winston, thanks for your reply.
- I have not used the web interface.
- Not sure what your question is here. But I do not sign into windows live, I'm just using WLM desktop at this time. I have too many contacts to use the WLM online.
- Contacts were imported from OE6 as .wab. Everything went well as far as the transfer.
Everything worked well for maybe a week and then Sunday I noticed the problem.
Thanks
When you are using WLM, does it say Sign in under the close X?
If you are signed in, your live ID will display instead of Sign in.
Not being signed in uses default contacts. Each Live ID that is used to
sign in has their own contacts.
The latest build of WLM is 14.0.8089.0726. Is that what you have?

It has my live ID.When you are using WLM, does it say Sign in under the close X?
If you are signed in, your live ID will display instead of Sign in.
I do not use the Live email address much yet. I have another account that syncs with WLM. I did not know each ID had it's own contact list. I just imported all my contacts into the WLM program. I assume they are all under my live ID.Not being signed in uses default contacts. Each Live ID that is used to
sign in has their own contacts.
That is the build I have.
I had to import my contact list from OE6 again a few days ago due to so many missing. It looks like I will have to import again tomorrow.
Thanks
Is there a way to delete the contact list? I need to import the OE6 list again and have too many duplicates now.
Sure. Highlight & Delete.

contacts.live.com Login with a Live ID, Options, More Options, Clean up
duplicate contacts.
Check this out. Clean up the contacts and then import the OE list.
