| | where is the delete button in the toolbar? I have Windows Live mail on two computers in my house and they are different. Are there different versions? I had to change my desktop over yesterday and there is no delete option on the toolbar without clicking onto the little arrow to drop down a menu. I DO NOT LIKE CHANGE! Is there a way to get this on my normal toolbar??? |

| | Re: where is the delete button in the toolbar? The newer version does not have icons on the Toolbar and has some bug fixes, so you need to update. Right click, Delete Delete key on keyboard. Delete on Toolbar. -- Ron Sommer MVP-Mail "mommy2_2" <mommy22@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:478B2C22-2F08-4872-9D95-5F2D5B4B3F32@xxxxxx Quote: > I have Windows Live mail on two computers in my house and they are > different. > Are there different versions? | | Re: where is the delete button in the toolbar? Hi, Mommy. Quote: Quote: Quote: >> > Are there different versions? 14.0.8089.0726), but there are several older versions still in use. Also, there are several versions of Windows currently in use (WinXP, Vista, Win7) and several variations of each of those. Each computer monitor might be set to a different screen resolution (800 x 600, 1280 x 1024, etc.) And, both Windows and WLM are highly customizable by the users, so it is not surprising that the appearance would be different on different computers. Your two computers might be customized differently. Since you posted your messages using a browser (the web-based interface), we can't tell which version of WLMail you have installed. As in any Windows program, click Help | About to see which version you are running. But you can be sure you have the latest if you will download WLMail (and as many other Windows Live components as you like) from here: http://download.live.com The WLMail Team made a few design decisions for build 14.0.8089.0726 that many of us complain about. One is the pastel color scheme. Another is the lack of icons on the Toolbar. And they hid the Menu Bar, by default; we have to press Alt or <Ctrl>+M to see it momentarily, or use the icon on the Toolbar to Show it permanently. But the Toolbar is customizable. Just right-click on it and click Customize Toolbar. You can select "Delete" from the menu and add it to the bar, then move it to your favorite spot on the bar. Note that the Toolbar in Mail is not the same as in News - or in the Compose window; each can be customized separately. Your Toolbars may be customized differently in your two computers. RC -- R. C.
