    High CPU usage

High been using WLM since it came out but been having problems with High CPU
    usage,

It's ok when first run from boot up I can check my emails News feed with no
problem but if I go back to it to check my emails after shutting down the
program and relaunching the CPU usage jumps up to over 90% and stays there,
and the mem usage jumps to over 300mb. Trying to Update feeds or newsgroups
cause the program to freeze and become non responsive.

I have totally uninstalled it and cleared all of the email storage folders
etc, then reinstalled it clean re-entering all of my settings and sure
enough 1st run is ok, subsequent runs still exhibit the same problem.

I have gone through a few threads on this, checked that there are no
contacts with odd characters, everything suggested but to no avail.

Has anyone got any advice on how to rectify this problem.

    Using Windows XP SP3
    Athlon64 3200
    2g ram
    1tb HDD

    KIS 2010

    Using version 14.0.8089.0726

    Thanks for any help.

    RE: High CPU usage

I have the same issue with the same version of WLM Desktop. The only
difference is that I'm running a Windows Vista Home Premium (32-bit) machine
and WLM doesn't seem to hog up RAM. High CPU usage ir really annoying...

I would suggest that you first determine which process(es) chew up the CPU. Process Explorer ( Process Explorer ) is a good tool to do that.
