An error nearly always occurs when closing windows live mail. The
error reporting tool comes up and I choose to send information, but
the bug is never fixed.

Have you tried to force WLM to compact its index
Set the 'Compact database on shutdown' counter to 1 at Tools/Options/Advanced/Maintenance
Click Close/Apply/OK
File/Work Offline
File/Exit
Do not interrupt the process


If the error still appears please provide the exact error message including number and details.
