Customize message header?

I searched but didn't find any posts about this. Does anyone know of a way
to modify the message header? I know how to hide it, but I like a message
header, just not one so huge that wastes so much space. I use a notebook, so
I don't have a lot of extra screen space.

Re: Customize message header?

Do you have the Folder pane button on the Toolbar?
Minimizing the Folder pane gives more space than the message header uses.

Re: Customize message header?

Nah, I've got the Folder pane open on the side. I've got a wide screen, so
side-to-side's not too bad. It's kinda dumb to make that header so spread
out and spacious - monitor real estate is a precious thing!

Re: Customize message header?

Agreed. This has been a frequent source of complaints about Windows Live Mail
since day one. The wide-screen laptops don't have much vertical real estate.
Be sure to turn off the menu bar; every little bit helps.

Re: Customize message header?

Agreed, it does take up some unnecessary space.
Not discounting the other suggestions(Folder pane, Menu bar) it's always appropriate to send your concern to the Live Team
