Vista - Unable to use WLM

I have been trying, off an on, since September 1st to get WLM to work with
ANY of my accounts, hotmail or otherwise. I have so far been unsuccessful.
Even with hotmail. Here's the error message I receive:
Unable to send or receive messages for the Hotmail (heddo98) account. Sorry,
we were unable to sign you in to Windows Live ID at this time. Please try
again later.

Server Error: 0x80048820
Server: 'http://mail.services.live.com/DeltaSync_v2.0.0/Sync.aspx'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x80048820

Ideas? Please help. I'm losing my mind.

Try a more dependable mail provider? (Other than Hotmail)

If you get an error with a non-Hotmail account, please post it
because we can help you with that.

The host can't be found (your error) because it does not exist. I suggest
that you review the Gmail site instructions for setting up a POP3 account
with them:

As for your Hotmail account issue, an Internet search on 'Server Error:
0x80048820' wasn't very helpful. Only a couple of very disparate solutions:

Change your password using web access to the account.
Clean out your mailbox using web access to the account.

Success with either seems spotty.

In my experience, the Hotmail servers go FUBAR every so often. When that
happens, I just wait it out.
