Windows Live Mail

I recently downloaded Windows Live Mail and I've looked this thing over and I
can't find a send/receive button that I used to on Outlook Express, can
anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong?

"Sync" does not work exactly as "Send/Receive" did. It is in keeping with
the concept of "cloud computing", though. This "cloud computing" is based on
the concept of the Internet as a "cloud" of interconnected, remote servers.
You store your data on somebody else's computer in this "cloud" (Microsoft
want is to be there "Windows Live" servers), and you "synchronize" your
local data, using specific clients (such as "Windows Live Mail" for email,
or "Windows Live Photo Gallery" for pictures).

Get used to it. Microsoft is just following Google's lead.

Re: Windows Live Mail

thanks for asking the question that I needed an answer for. And thanks to
Bruce for answering.

You asked the same question that I was thinking; why the change in
terminology? There must be someone at Microsoft that gets paid for thinking
up NEW ways to say things. My feeling is, "If it ain't broke, DON'T FIX IT!!"

In this case, they did not merely change the "terminology", they changed the
underlying functionality.
