"Copy" from WLM email doesn't work

Any suggestions? Highlight selected text and try either <menu> <copy> or
<control><c> and then attempt paste in another application...fails.

    WLM build version 12.0.1606
Windows XP version Media Center, SP2, Build 2600

Any suggestions? Minor but quite annoying "feature".

    thx,

    SilentSeven

Try using clipbrd.exe to see what is happening.
E.g. perhaps the Copy is working but the Paste isn't?
In that case you should try pasting into Notepad,
then do a second Copy from Notepad.
Usually that second copy may be more acceptable
    by the other app.

I can't duplicate that here but I am using WLM build 14.0.8089.0726 (the current available version).
I can paste into Outlook, Word, Notepad using all means of copy/paste available via the keyboard and mouse.

Your build version is WLM 2008 and was released in Nov 2007. Since then two final builds have been released(Dec 08 and Feb. 09).

Have you checked if copy/paste functions from other installed applications ?

    Hi, SilentSeven.

As Winston said, you are working with a WLM build that is very old - in
    computer years.

I recall that there was a build that had a problem with copy'n'paste. As I
recall, it wouldn't work using a mouse-click, but it worked fine if we
highlighted the selection and then used <Ctrl>+C, <Ctrl>+V, the standard
Windows keystrokes for Copy and Paste. Have you tried those?

But you really should download (for free) the current build (8.0.8089.0726)
WLM - and any other of the Windows Live Essentials (Messenger, Photo
Gallery, etc.) that you might want - from:
    http://download.live.com

The copy'n'paste problem that you are having was fixed a few builds ago.
    ;<)

    Subtle change..

    ....the current build (8.0.8089.0726) >>> 14.0.8089.0726
