Interesting.
Even though you indicate they are no emails in your WLM Outbox, I wonder if
there's anything in the Outbox folder on your computer.
Open the Start menu. Enter Outbox in the Search field. You might get a
couple folders in the search results. One will be the real Outbox folder (in
the Windows Live Mail folder) on your computer, but you might have another
Outbox folder that's a subfolder to a Recovered items folder. You can pretty
safely delete any email files from this folder.
Maybe this will give you some clues to figuring it out.
