In Live Mail whenever I click on a Help program I get a window stating Wrong
Vol. in drive. Insert Vol. Cat 8.6 WHQL in drive D.
any help on this one?

Live Mail doesn't have a 'Help' program...the Help is online..
- click on the '?' mark on the Toolbar, scroll and select 'Get Help With Mail'

- the online help is not as extensive as it should be.

If you problems is with Windows, you might consider posting the issue to one of the operating system forums

Not quite sure where you are when this happens - there are no 'Help
programs' within WLMail. Without knowing the first thing about it, the
message you're getting looks like a failed attempt to upgrade your display
drivers (Catalyst 8.6 WHQL is a signed ATI driver). Check your hardware
configuration in Device Manager for errors (or put the right disk in when
the error occurs...).
