Changed Password Online, now WLM doesn't send/receive

    Hi,

I had my hotmail account hacked and sending spam, so I quickly logged into
hotmail (via www.hotmail.com) and changed my password. When I opend WLM it
wouldn't Sync. I went to Tools > Accounts and updated my saved password to
the new one. Click Sync and get the following errror message:

    -----------
Unable to send or receive messages for the Hotmail (my user name) account.
The sign-in name you entered doesn't exist, or your password is incorrect.

    Server Error: 0x80048821
    Server: 'http://mail.services.live.com/DeltaSync_v2.0.0/Sync.aspx'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x80048821
    -----------

When it prompts for the User / Password I put in all the right details, but
it still won't sync. Any advice?

Is the new password still working if you login to www.hotmail.com?

Logon to Hotmail.com or mail.live.com(they both go to the same place) and look for a verification email in your folders(including
your Junk folder)....if present follow the instructions.

If you setup an alternate email address at account.live.com, check that account too for a notification/verify message.

Once done, logoff the web interface and test the account in WLM(removing the username and pw and re-entering clean)
