I recently got a new computer with windows 7 ( no OE). I set up a LIVE
account and an alternate account which was my primary account (POP3) on my
old system. I have separate inboxes for these 2 accounts. After a few weeks
where I received identical messages in both inboxes, things have settled down
to where most mail directed to my alternate account appears ONLY in my LIVE
inbox.



Any thoughts?

That usually indicates some setting on the server.

Either one account (your old POP3) is forwarding to the other, or one
account (Live) is fetching mail from the other.

If you use web mail to look at the Live account and see the messages
there, then you need to undo the forwarding/fetching on the server.
