In Windows Live Mail go to Tools, Options, Read, uncheck
"Get 300 headers at a time".

Thanks for your quick response.
The item was unchecked by default. Left it as it is.
As I'm still not confident of seeing my posts and answers, pls reply
something to me, as I do not understand howcome that I can see my posts and
replies now, when I couldn't since 1/23/2010.
Thanks

Thanks for your response.
Same as I've replied to Gary, would also appreciate your reply again to test
the system a bit more. Is there anything else I should do to ensure
continued workability? I am worried that this may be a one off thing.
Thanks
Thanks

Ben,
Per your request...this is the reply.
Fyi..my current settings if you'd like to mirror them
WLM Menu/Tools Options
General Tab
Send and Receive messages at startup - unchecked
Check for new messages ever 'x' minutes - unchecked
Use newsgroup Communities support features - unchecked
News
Get 100 headers at a time(unlike others I use this feature, if I want more, I manually request more by clicking the 'Headers'
button added to my toolbar)...
- ie.. what works for me may not be how others operate...and I rarely need to manually retrieve since most of the newsgroups I
access have less than 100 posts per day.

Responding as requested.
The "Get X headers at a time" setting has been reported by some as
resulting in missing posts.
