To request help in the above forum you will have to obtain a new Live ID to ask for help.
Signup for Hotmail or Live.com email address
https://signup.live.com/signup.aspx?rollrs=12&lic=1
Once created(new account, password, secret question) go to the above site and logon with that Live ID, create a screen name(to
register and provide access), then ask your question in the Hotmail Forums.
You will have to provide some identifiable information. If the email address was not his personal email address they may not be
able to help you. It may be best to start using the new Live ID.
Fyi...your ex, not you will have to ask the questions...you are not the owner of either account! Another option for the
future...consider converting the account to a Hotmail Plus account...only the registered credit card holder can cancel the
account(and that credit card can be used for verifying the account owner)..Hotmail Plus is $20/year.
Good luck..
