Send Mail Immediately - But Not Always

How do I check mail immediately or choose to send one particular email
immediately in Windows Live Mail without setting Options to Send
Immediately??? In Outlook Express you could choose to send immediately on a
case by case basis and you could use that ability to check for new mail
immediately when you wanted to... I do not see how to do that in Live Mail.

Thanks for the post, Bruce.... I must be tooold for a new OS, because this is
just another example to me of Win 7 changes simply for the sake of change
with no apparent other reason... I am not having fun learning 7.... In fact
it took hours upon hours just to figure out a way to successfully migrate
Outlook Express from an old XP laptop to a new Win7 laptop and no Outlook
Express. To me, none of the raved about changes in Win7 have been worth the
aggravation involved in relearning a new OS... So speaks the dinosaur....

Sorry, there is no longer a selective Send capability. Microsoft is hell-bent
on reducing complexity so the masses won't be frightened by all those
    pesky options.

You're welcome. Be aware that Windows Live Mail is not a component of
Windows 7, like OE was for XP and earlier. It is an add-on. <whispering. I
don't like Windows Live Mail either. <whispering>

FWIW, Windows Live Mail has nothing to do with Windows 7.
In fact, Win 7 doesn't come with an email program. You are free to use
whatever you want, even OE if you are willing to run it in Virtual XP Mode.

It should be noted that Virtual XP mode isn't available in the Home Premium
edition of Win7, which is what most Win7 users have.

Yes like hiding all the menus in Internet Explorer, Windows Explorer &
    Windows Live Mail by default.
Would love to know how to embarrass M$ into doing something the 'customer'
    wants.

But that doesn't mean that a person is unable to use a third party
virtualization program like VirtualBox or VMWware player. Of course going
that route would also require that they have a licensed version of XP that
they could install on the virtual machine...
