Contacts that contain a birthday disappear from the contact list

    Hi,

    I need some help please.

I have imported all my Outlook Contacts into Windows Live Mail - no problem
    occured.

They are ALL available on the Live Contacts web-page - fine

They were all available in Windows Live Mail Contacts but then all the
contacts that contain a birthday disappeared.
They remain however available on the Live Contacts web-page.

Does anybody have a solution to this problem please ?

To ensure Contacts and Calendar are present in WLM (for that same Live ID account used to access the Web Interface at
contacts.live.com and calendar.live.com) the same Live ID must be used to logon to Windows Live in WLM for synchronization to occur
between the web and that Live ID in WLM.

Contacts can be imported via csv file into either the web UI or the WLM interface..they will be common in both places after
syncrhonization when the same Live ID is used to logon to Windows Live in both applications(web UI and WLM).

Contacts can also be imported into WLM when not using a Live ID to sign on to Windows Live though the contacts will not be present
in the web UI since no synchronization occurs.

Likewise, calendar data is only synch'ed between the web UI and WLM when the same Live ID is used. If not signing on to Windows
Live in WLM, then your calendar data is only stored locally(no sync to the web).

The above is one of the more confusing pieces of WLM...since it can be used in both modes(with and without a Live ID). Without
everything is local; with local and remote(web UI). To accomplish this difference WLM creates separate contacts and calendar
    databases for each mode.

Which mode are you using ?

Windows Live Mail Client : Contacts with birthday disappear

    Hi Winston

When I add a contact with an empty birthday field in WLM, then everything is OK and the contact will remain in the contact list.

When I add a contact with a date in the birthday field, then this contact will disappear from the contact list when I restart WLM.
