Change the Reply To in a Forwarded Message

Here's what I'd like to do:

I receive emails from Friend "A". I want to forward some of these emails to
Friend "B". Now here's the catch---I want the forwarded emails to have the
REPLY TO with Friend "A" email address. How do I edit/change the Reply To?

    Thanks

Ask Friend A to send the emails to Friend B.
    - friend B can click Reply

    Thanks

Winston, thanks for the quick reply. Unfortunately, not the answer I was
    looking for.

The short answer is No. :-)

    But:
When you forward a message from friend A to friend B, there is no 'Reply
    To'.
But the details of the original sender are included in the From field, so no
problem for friend B to click on that name, which then opens a New Message
    and friend B can respond.

Re: Change the Reply To in a Forwarded Message

Tools (ALT+T), Accounts, Mail, Properties, General.

You need to change that before you send the forward and then change it
back after the message is sent.

If you do that a lot for one particular friend, you could set up a dummy
account with that already set as desired. After starting the Forward
you can use the From drop down list to select that account for sending.
On that account you'll want to uncheck the Include this account when
receiving mail. You will get another set of folders for that account in
    your folder list.

    Thanks

    Grenou,

Thank you for answering my question. Now I know that it's not possible.

Two ways that I would try:
    1. Change your E-mail account's Properties (temporarily)
    2. Edit the message in the Outbox before it is sent.

Note: check the Outbox to make sure that you are doing what you want to do
anyway AND if you chose option 1 make sure you change your E-mail account's
Properties back to normal. ; )

    Re: Thanks

Sorry...that's the only solution short of what spammers do(falsify headers)...and not necessarily this newsgroup's purpose nor
should this response be interpreted as suggesting your intent is the same.

    Mike,

Thanks for your reply. Since I don't do this very often, I will take your
advice and change the Reply Address temporarily like you said.

    Re: Thanks

    Winston,

You're right. I didn't even realize that it would be easy for spammers to
    falsify headers like you said.
