Yes i also have tried that 8 months ago the date on my laptop is correct.

Like is daid in my first post i tried every possible method for this problem nothing has workd so i'm still hoping to get the right solution for this and i know there is a solution but

i think i will have to change to a other mail manager then.

anyway still hoping for a solution.

The sign in is not required for sending and receiving from email accounts.
You do say if the email accounts are working in WLMail.
The sign in is for Live services (Contacts and Calendar).

What version are you using?

The download agent seems to work fine installing the Live suite of
programs on my Vista-64 system. I can use Messenger without any
problems, and can get to my hotmail account through Internet
Explorer/firefox/chrome just fine.

However when I go to use the Live Mail application and want to sign in
(shows in the upper right corner).
When i click Sign In (upper right) and then Sign in.
I get a red text pop-up in the sign in box.

''Sorry, we were unable to sign you in to Windows Live ID at this time.
Please try again later''

And i am getting this al over 8 months.
Just like i said i have tried every solution that i could find on the
internet nothing has solved this problem.

I hope someone can help me out with this. I have thought of formatting
my system but because of the many programs i have installed on this
machine i just don't see this as a option formatting my system for just
only windows live mail.

I have tried many forums to get help from but again not the right
solution for this problem that i have.
Many others had again the same pop-up and they where able to fix it with
some kind of solution like flushing the DNS but it hasn't work for me.

I have Vista Home Premium x64, 4GB of RAM, AMD Turion-X2, 500GB HD
system.
I am running eset smart security if that matters

i have version 2009 (build 14.0.8117.0416)

Clicking the sign in on the upper right corner will log you in with an
existing Live ID to Live services.

To add an existing account to WLMail, Alt + T, Accounts, Add, Mail, ......

If you want to create a new Live ID, go signup.live.com .
