| | Deleting a "Hidden" contact I start Windows Live Messenger, sign in and my 4 contacts are shown. If I then click on Spaces and login to My Space, Interent Explorer starts, as expected. If I go to Invite A Friend there are 5 contacts shown. The extra on is a hotmail address I stupidly replied to from a web-page sometime ago. How do I delete this contact. As I said it does not show in Messenger. -- Regards, Richard |

| | Re: Deleting a "Hidden" contact Greetings Richard, You probably only have Messenger set to show you 'Messenger contacts'. Just start typing in the address in the Messenger 'Find a contact...' field, it should come up and you can delete it there. The search ignores the filtering setting. -- Jonathan Kay Microsoft MVP - Windows Live Messenger/MSN Messenger/Windows Messenger Associate Expert http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/expertzone/ Messenger Resources - http://messenger.jonathankay.com All posts unless otherwise specified are (c) 2007 Jonathan Kay. | | Re: Deleting a "Hidden" contact Thanks Jonathan, I have "Show All Contacts" set, but the contact does not show in Messenger. In Spaces it shows as a Messenger contact. I have also tried the steps described in "Clearing Contacts Cache" in online help, but the contact is still in Spaces -- Regards, Richard "Jonathan Kay [MVP]" wrote: Quote: > Greetings Richard, > > You probably only have Messenger set to show you 'Messenger contacts'. > > Just start typing in the address in the Messenger 'Find a contact...' field, it should come > up and you can delete it there.
