| | 8100030d - Unable to login Error Message We still ahve no fix for this that I can see. Whilst some issues have been addressed like the Zonealarm one that seemed tro cause this it has gone into something of a blacvk hole. when Lan connected it works like a dream..when on modem/dial-up it totally refuses to login..allied to this if you try to login to Yahoo Messenger it also does not login (but you get no error message there) - I also notivce I struggle to login to IRC sites like www.icq.com/chat ....it hjust does not elt you in. I assume therefore this is some security setting of some sort based on a Dial-up connection that causes this problem. Is anyone at M;soft looking at it and did anyone else find settings to change to make it work that does not involve things like routers and zonealarm.. cheers |

| | Re: 8100030d - Unable to login Error Message Greetings Gordie, It doesn't really sound like a Messenger problem per se if no other internet-based applications work while you're on dialup. | | Re: 8100030d - Unable to login Error Message Hi Jonathan, yes i was in 2 minds as to where to post this but it seems the only place this shows obviously is in the Live messenger and this 8100030d error message and it WAS working perfectly until Messenger was installed. I am struggling with it and can't see anything obvious that i can change. I have tried putting the Internet Zone to 'safe' (which i know it isn't!) and also removing my firewall to check if these were the cause but it seems not. ALL other sites work like a dream - I even checked sites which I KNOW would be restricted if it was something my ISP was doing and those were fine. I've looked at most answers for this including removing the cache etc but there must be some setting somewhere ...not sure what other info i can get. is there a 'log' of it's attempts to login so I can see exactly what might be causing the issue. I am pretty sure it is messenger related though but I could be wrong - I am a pretty techie savvy guy so I have tried all sorts of the obvious solutions...it's weird.. Any help/thoughts would be appreciated....
