| Guest | Unwanted alerts for emails I'm running Windows Live Mail on Vista and Windows Live Messenger 8.5.1302. I get alerts from WLM, the little slide up and down notification each time I get an email. I don't have the checkbox ticked in the tools > options > alerts menu. Is there anything else I need to do? Thanks -- Joe http://joe.fawcett.name |

| Guest | Re: Unwanted alerts for emails In Messenger, if you go to Tools/Options then under the alerts tab, you'll come across options for the various toasts that you are getting. One of them is "Display alerts when e-mail is received" and is checked by default. Simply uncheck this box and your email toasts should disappear.
