| | Am I the only smiley-maniac out there? Hello. From the very beginning, I've been waiting for a decent management system of smileys. What I've been browsing these messages, nobody seems to care about smileys. So, am I the only smiley-maniac out there, who's eagerly waiting for a better smiley manager for the messeger?? It really gets frustrating to browse the list all the time. And as of version 8, the smiley list no longer follow any kind of sort order as I add new smileys! How about a nice hierarchical smiley tree, it must be too frivolous to implement? I have over 500 smileys, so at least for me such a system be a great bless. |

| | Re: Am I the only smiley-maniac out there? That would be something to care about if there is enough demand. Personaly, I don't see many people using smileys, and, when they do, most of them use the deafult ones... But 500 smileys? Do you really need and use them all? As a main point, I'd say better smiley management would be useful if there were a good percentage of users who demand it. | | Re: Am I the only smiley-maniac out there? Greetings, I hear you -- I'm well known for one particular built-in smiley that I use a lot, and although I don't use custom smiley's that much, it's painfully difficult to find a particular one since there is: 1) no search 2) no categories 3) no ability to sort on anything (alphabetical, etc.) I would love to have said features, unfortunately Microsoft hasn't put much priority into it. -- Jonathan Kay Microsoft MVP - Windows Live Messenger/MSN Messenger/Windows Messenger Associate Expert http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/expertzone/ Messenger Resources - http://messenger.jonathankay.com All posts unless otherwise specified are (c) 2007 Jonathan Kay.
