Trying to synchronize...

I've seen a few posts on the web about it but no solutions - only about 1
out of ten times will I be able to sync shared folders in messenger - she's
having the same problem. We both are using messenger live 8.0178.
Neither of us have set any special folder permissions on the folders. Is
there a size limit to the folder? Is there a version of live messenger
that is less prone to this issue? We both have high speed connections. I
can remote into her computer no problem. I don't see any issues. I've
tried uninstalling messenger and reinstalling.

Re: Trying to synchronize...

Greetings,

If possible, you should update to 8.5 as there's plenty of bug fixes, including with Sharing
Folders:
http://get.live.com/all/WL

To answer your other questions though, there is not a size limit to the folder.

Re: Trying to synchronize...

Thanks - I did that - solved the issue! - now to get a new version of
mess.be that fixes all the design flaws of messenger.

Re: Trying to synchronize...

Thanks - I'm running Messenger 8.5.1032 and tried messenger patch g5-81178
and it said it couldn't find a valid install of messenger.

Re: Trying to synchronize...

They do indeed have a special version for the 1032 messenger listed in the
forum - unfortunately I couldn't get rid of all the advertizing with it but
you certainly can't complain about a free product and one that is very
recently released. MS is probably trying to make it harder for mess to
remove the advertizing.
