Messenger will not send files

When you try to send a file or photo, you get the error: The following
message could not be delivered to all recipients. This error is immediate
like it doesn't even try. All users are local, so no firewall, and all other
functions work, remote assistance, whiteboard.

Re: Messenger will not send files

To all recipients? Are you trying to send a message to several people on a
group conversation?
And what do you mean when referring "local"? Same computer with different
LiveID logins or within the local network?

Re: Messenger will not send files

by local I was referring to the local network. In the mean time I found the
problem, on the LCS under applications there is an IM URL Filter Application
Setting that was enabled. This stopped all file transfers and the ability to
even type in a URL in a conversation.

Thanks for your reply,

jim

Re: Messenger will not send files

By the way, what does "LCS" stand for? I ask it because there is a friend of
mine that cannot receive my instant messages containing complete URLs, and I
thought your problem may be applicable in that case. However, we can
exchange files normally.
