Greetings David,
I assume you mean Windows Messenger 4.7, not Windows Live Messenger 4.7 (as there is no such
thing and as you already noted, is a separate a product).
To uninstall Windows Messenger, click the Start button, then click Run and enter:
RunDll32 advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection %windir%\INF\msmsgs.inf,BLC.Remove
Then click OK.
Windows Messenger will then be uninstalled. For more detailed instructions see:
