The Windows Update tool keeps finding updates for it and installs every time
I switch off the PC.
When I try to uninstall it using Add/Remove Programms tool, I get a message:
The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is
unavailable. The uninstaller is looking for MsnMsgs.msi (for Live Messenger
) in C:\WINDOWS\Installer\MSN Messenger 8.0.0812\ and for wllogin.msi in:
\Temp\IXP000.TMP\ for Live Sign-In assistant.
The files don't exist on the HDD. I contacted Microsoft Customer Support and
was advised to remove any traces of Windows Live Toolbar from the registry -
have no idea how to.
